Radio Warneford's Christmas Request Show
Radio Warneford, the award-winning hospital radio service based at Warwick Hospital, is staging its Christmas Request Show on Saturday 14 December bringing the festive spirit to the Tesco store in Warwick.
Between 10am and 4pm, Radio Warneford's volunteer members will be asking shoppers to choose a favourite track from our Christmas list which will then be played for them in-store while they do their shopping.
We have spaces on some of our broadcasting teams and are looking for new volunteers to join us. Members will be on hand throughout the day to answer questions about what's involved in hospital broadcasting and anyone interested in joining the team will be able to pick up our Membership Information leaflet and an application form.
Shoppers will also be able to pick up a copy of Radio Warneford's special Christmas single. You're Not Alone This Christmas has been written and recorded by members of the station to celebrate our 40th birthday this month and to raise funds for Radio Warneford.
Danny Cronin, Radio Warneford's Fund Raising Coordinators, says "Our Christmas Request Show will bring an extra festive cheer to shopping at Tesco in the run-up to Christmas. We hope that people will enjoy hearing their favourite track while they are in the store. They can also pick up a copy of our limited-edition Christmas single. It makes an excellent Christmas gift."
So if you are in Warwick or Leamington Spa on Saturday, why not call into Tesco on the Emscote Road and get yourself into a festive mood with a Christmas Request from Radio Warneford!
Radio Warneford would like to thank Tesco for allowing us to host a Request Show as part of their Christmas celebrations.
