Tesco Christmas Request Show Success

Radio Warneford, the award-winning hospital radio service at Warwick Hospital, set up shop in the Tesco store in Leamington Spa on the Saturday before Christmas for a very special Yuletide Request Show.

Customers were able to choose their favourite Christmas song or carol which was then played around the store in the Parade while they did their shopping. The Request Show created a wonderfully festive atmosphere and raised over £330 for the station!

The OB Co-ordinator, Danny Cronin, says “I’d like to thank all of the staff at Tesco Leamington Spa for making our Request Show possible and a big thank you to Tesco’s customers for all their generosity”.

Radio Warneford would also like to thank Stone The Crows of Regent Street in Leamington Spa who supplied us with some fantastic Christmas headgear to wear for the Tesco event.

The money raised at the Tesco Request Show will be used to maintain and improve the radio service provided for patients at Warwick Hospital by Radio Warneford which, as a charity, relies on public donations to continue its work.
